Republican Illinois Representative Mary Miller has urged that former first lady Jill Biden be subjected to criminal charges for elder abuse, following the announcement of her husband, former President Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis, which came after reports of considerable mental decline during his presidency.
“Jill Biden was involved in concealing Joe Biden’s mental and physical deterioration,” the congresswoman stated in a post on X. “She ought to be held accountable with CRIMINAL CHARGES for elder abuse!!”
In a recent interview with The Post, geriatric medical expert Elaine Healy indicated that the former president exhibits “telltale signs of elder abuse.”
“Visible bruises and other injuries resulting from physical violence are clear indicators of abuse. Additionally, non-violent behaviors — such as withholding food, leading to weight loss, or intimidation that results in social withdrawal and changes in personality — are also classified as abusive actions,” she explained.
“A more malevolent form of elder abuse, however, entails the manipulation of an elderly person for the financial, personal, or — in this instance — political benefit of the abuser,” the doctor remarked.
She further elaborated on the actions of the former first lady following her husband’s notorious debate with then-GOP candidate Donald Trump, during which she had to assist him in leaving the stage.
“What motivated her insistence that he pursue a political career when she, more than anyone else, must have recognized his deteriorating cognitive abilities and waning physical health?” she inquired. “Is she a devoted partner or a cunning manipulator, leveraging his reliance on her to influence his choices? If it is the latter, she is participating in elder abuse.”
Even Washington Post columnist and ardent critic of Trump, Sally Quinn, expressed her disapproval of Jill Biden.
“I hold Jill Biden responsible for this. As his wife, she should have intervened and told him, ‘Joe, you cannot proceed’… If she had done that, he would not have run,” she stated on Wednesday during the “Tara Palmeri Show.”
“She was clearly supportive of his candidacy, and I believe it was a significant disservice to the nation. She failed to protect him… I genuinely perceived it as elder abuse,” Quinn asserted.
Additionally, Donald Trump Jr. raised concerns regarding the former first lady’s involvement in a potential “cover-up.”
“What I am curious about is how Dr. Jill Biden overlooked stage five metastatic cancer, or is this yet another cover-up???” he remarked sarcastically on Truth Social.
Following the announcement, several medical professionals have commented, stating it is “inconceivable” that the former president’s prostate cancer had not been identified well before his public disclosure, as reported by The New York Post.
His cancer was assigned a Gleason score of 9, leading many to wonder how it could have gone undetected for such a duration to reach that advanced stage.
“Gleason grade 9 would have indicated an elevated PSA level for a considerable period prior to this diagnosis. Furthermore, it is likely that he underwent multiple PSA tests beforehand. This situation is peculiar,” he remarked. “I wish him the best and hope he can enhance his quality of life.”
Dr. Steven Quay stated that the cancer affecting the former president is one of the easiest to identify in its initial stages.
“The PSA blood test indicates the rate of cancer cell proliferation. Even in the case of the most aggressive type, it typically takes 5-7 years without treatment for it to progress to a metastatic stage,” the physician explained.
“This implies that it would constitute malpractice if this patient were to present with a first diagnosis of metastatic disease in May 2025,” he added.
“It is highly probable that he has been living with a prostate cancer diagnosis throughout his time in the White House, while the American public remained unaware,” he noted.
Dr. Marc Siegel, a medical analyst for Fox News, conveyed his astonishment at the seriousness of the diagnosis. “One would expect an individual in his position to have access to the finest medical care available,” he stated. “It is surprising—and indeed concerning—that the condition has progressed to this extent.”
